Nuclear Free World Foundation > Noboru Takamura

Born in Nagasaki Prefecture in 1968, Noboru Takamura received a degree from the Nagasaki University School of Medicine, after which he earned a doctorate from the same university’s Graduate School of Medical Science. He then remained at the university as an assistant in the School of Medicine, later becoming an associate professor at its Graduate School in the field of public health. After serving in other posts, he became professor at the same university’s Atomic Bomb Disease Institute in April 2008. His area of specialty is radiation medicine.
Since 2020, Takamura has headed the Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum in Fukushima Prefecture.
